INTOLERÂNCIA RELIGIOSA EM SALVADOR DA BAHIA – O VIS-À-VIS ENTRE AS IGREJAS NEOPENTECOSTAIS E AS RELIGIÕES DE MATRIZ AFRICANA

Resumo

Com uma metamorfose da paisagem religiosa no Brasil, nascem confrontações entre religiões em Salvador de Bahia, tais como conflitos que se inscrevem no imaginário simbólico de movimentos religiosos neopentecostais que seguem a “Teologia da Guerra Espiritual”. A Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, entre outras igrejas desse segmento religioso, formula acusações de bruxaria para com o Candomblé, atualizando uma nova “cruzada contra o diabo”. As religiões de matriz africana no Brasil são de novo o alvo e perante estas provocações, os adeptos dessas religiões criam mecanismos de resistência para fazer recuar a virulência dos ataques. Este artigo nos faz compreender a transformação concreta dos fundamentos da vida em sociedade provocada por uma expansão do esquema perseguidor próprio ao neopentecostalismo e as suas igrejas de “libertação” ou de “descarrego”. Atos de discriminações religiosas vêm com freqüência fazerem parte do cotidiano dos adeptos das religiões que sofrem o desrespeito fomentado por fiéis de igrejas neopentecostais.

With a metamorphosis of the religious landscape in Brazil, born confrontations between religions in Salvador de Bahia, such as conflicts which fall within the symbolic imagery of neo-Pentecostal religious movements that follow the "Theology of spiritual warfare." The Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus, among other churches of this religious segment, formulates charges of witchcraft to the Candomblé, updating a new "crusade against the devil". Religions of african array in Brazil are new target and before these provocations, the adherents of those religions create resistance mechanisms to reduce the virulence of the attacks. This article makes us understand the real transformation of the fundamentals of life in society brought about by an expansion of the charismatic movement Tracker schema itself and its churches of "liberation" or "do I download". Acts of religious discrimination come frequently being part of the daily life of adherents of religions that suffer the contempt fomented by the faithful of neo-Pentecostal churches
